Epilogue: crisis averted! We went to see Billy Elliot (the musical), and followed it up with classy pizza. Also, Avatar marathon + cake. Best anniversary ever? Quite possibly.
Happy two years, Patbird!
And to the rest of you out there: thank you for putting up with me! Next week, we will hasten away from my silly love-love messages.
We’ve all experienced that awkward moment when, trying to pass someone, they decide to move in the exact same direction. Is there an actual name for this? I’ve been calling it the ‘excuse me’ dance, but there has to be something. The hivemind shuffle, maybe?
(I feel like Cecil Adams addressed this a few decades ago, but darned if I can remember.)
A very short blog post to accompany a very long (comparatively) comic! You might notice the soon-to-be-wed Willie & Maria from a few weeks back. Thank you all for making the Ren Faire awesome, and let me tell you that everyone is much more attractive in real life. There’s only so much I can do!
I always think I’m ready to go, right on time, and then – suddenly – something is missing. Mysteries of the universe!
I wish I had a chock of my own, for exactly this sort of situation. Want to tell me a bad pun? Go on, do it. I dare you.
Just know that the chock is watching.
During Patbird’s family reunion, we were able to spend time with a ton of great characters – including this adorable youngling! Now we are back, no worse for the wear, and with excellent new t-shirts to wear about town. (If only I could persuade him that wearing them on the same day would in fact make us awesome trendsetters.)
Lemon is our adorable leopard gecko! Remember the last time he showed up? He’s been especially lively as the weather’s gotten warmer – eating and exploring a bit more. Lately, Lemon has been hanging out by his water dish; we figure that it keeps him nice and cool, and as a bonus, we get to enjoy his silly poses.
Much love, Lemon. ♥
Meanwhile, Patbird and I are going on an extravagant excursion to West Virginia, for his family reunion. I am basically imagining it like the penguin parades in Australia, or maybe a swarm of seagulls. Will Galesaur survive this encounter…? If you don’t see a comic next week, you’ll know why.
So the point of that story was that for the first time, I’m setting this comic to publish itself on Thursday in advance. I am writing this on Tuesday, guys. Tuesday!
…And this is why I’m looking forward to New York Comic Con.
Check it out! It’s Thursday, and the comic is up! (Unless your name is Alex and you live in some other time zone.)
