Moral of the story: if you must lock yourself out of your apartment, be sure that you are coming home with groceries. It makes the wait much tastier.
In other news, hang in there, Patbird enthusiasts! I’m sure you’ll get a double dose of him next week, as he is ridiculously excited about New York Comic Con.
(I am also excited, though not as knowledgeable! In preparation, I am reading Excelsior!, the Official Bio-Autography of Stan Lee, which was prominently displayed in my local library. I realized today that it is, in fact, a signed copy. Hmm!)
Sorry I was not able to give you a place to stay while you waited! My inability to charge a phone will eventually be the end of me.
