My grandma lived an amazing, full life – not only was she a professor of drama and speech, but she traveled the globe, fought for human rights, volunteered with the Red Cross for fifty years, and was reigning Wii Bowling champion in her community. She passed away peacefully last week, surrounded by loved ones.
This next week should be packed to the gills, as Patbird and I trek out to his hometown of Kansas City before visiting my folks for the funeral; whatever the comic will be, you can bet it’s going to be something exciting/snowy!
Awww Galey! I’m so sorry to hear! *HUG* If you need anything, just let me know, even if it’s just an ear to talk off or a shoulder to cry on. I love you! <3
Sorry about your loss. It’s a beautiful comic and a great way to share your memories of her with the rest of the world. Condolences to you and your family.
Aww.. I’m really sorry to hear about your loss Gale, sounds like she was a wonderful person, and the comic was amazing, you really get the sense of revisiting comfortable memories. My deepest condolences to you and yours.
So special, Gale, and a sweet tribute to her. You don’t know this but my Dad’s mom, my beloved Grandma, used to treat us to ginger ale when we visited. It was served in tall metal glasses along with cheez-it’s. It is a big memory of her for me. I’m closing my eyes right now and remembering her. See you so soon.
That is beautiful, Gale. She was my favorite aunt and I will miss her as much as I miss my own mom.
I wish you’re here so I can give you tons and tons of hugs and kisses. I asked U.Lance to have the little husky “stuffed animal” under the table to be cremated with G.ma So, she and G.pa will have a dog to play with in heaven. Love you sooooooooo much.
Thank you, everybody! It’s a huge comfort to read all of your kind words.
Gale, I’m sorry for your loss, but it’s like you say — she hasn’t gone very far. What great memories. Thank you for sharing them.
